Robert Cosmar: The Mind Does Not Forgive
It is the nature of the mind to see things one-sided and to look outwardly at the effects of things and form conclusions. Even when it is used to look scientifically, it is only observing, because it cannot penetrate to the cause of things. It might learn to understand the effectsof the cause, but never the cause, itself.
The cause is not translatable into linear thought or the observations of the mind. Mind is born of cause, co-exits with it, but can never BE the cause. Cause is beyond any description or explanation, because it contains the content of everything and even more. Cause is the living essence of things that goes beyond description and is simply known as life.
Life understands without judgement and accepts all that it creates. Only man goes against himself/herself by questioning and comparing their natures. The reason the mind cannot forgive is, it feels guilt at not knowing the beginning or ending of its intents. It is like a dog chasing its tail around a fire hydrant, never catching hold of it. Mind can never forgive its inability to wholly embrace cause or conclusion. It is limited to time, space, and functions of existence.
Mind wants and tries to be lord of all, but in the end, only creates illusions to embrace that slip through the fingers of time and space. Mind never satisfies or brings to conclusion a thought or idea which must not be surrendered to other thoughts or ideas. It is eternally hungry and yet cannot embrace eternity because of its limitations. Mind is an imposter and a wanna-be. It lacks the one element to feel complete and that is heart, or feeling.
Life is a perfect blend and balance of feeling and thought. Without each, the experience of existence is limited and unbalanced. You cannot live in the physical world on feeling, alone, nor evolve solely on the wings of thought and mind. The reason the mind cannot accept or forgive is, it lacks the perspective that feelings bring to complete the cycle of experiences in this world. Mind’s limited view brings judgement against the very self that created and perpetuates it.
This pull of the mind away from the heart or feelings by judgement is like the old Chinese finger toy. You try and pull apart your two fingers, but the harder you pull, the harder it is to separate the fingers. The mind has to yield to the feelings at times to learn forgiveness and allow acceptance. You may not like what you did, or what happened to you, but in the end, it does no good to judge, analyze, criticize, or create a myriad of excuses for an event. It happened, accept it, and look within to the seat of your own forgiveness — the heart.

Robert Cosmar: Misplaced Values
I am often amazed at how easily people are influenced by the rich and famous. Like cattle, they are herded into the money-machine of society to beg and grovel for their own piece of the pie: success and fame. Little do they consider the great price that must often be paid for collecting more trinkets from the material world.
When I read the obituaries of many of the famous who pass on, it often says that they died of drug-related consequences. Instead of building an authentic image of themselves, they have been crafted or crafted themselves into an image that may be successful to the world, but inwardly they know it is a lie. In the end, they end up hating themselves and the life they have created.
Peace only comes when your heart and mind are centered within your being. Not until your mind surrenders to your feeling true nature does a sense of effortless acceptance rise from within and a recognition of the true self that you are. A beautiful life is one that is full of this awareness, because it brings the divine aspect of our natures into the mundane world of our minds and, thus into this world and life. You are not successful if you don’t have peace of mind and a heart filled with love.
Love can only exist within you if you are totally accepting of your circumstances. It is not a crime to be rich or poor, but it is a crime against the sacred part of you to be a lie to yourself. I am sure that there are those who have created wealth and fame from a love and a purposefulness within themselves, but what part of the ego influenced their choices and how pure were their intents? Only they know in the privacy of their lives. The end justifies the means, but at what cost to the quality of life and living?
Do not confuse happiness, joy, peace and abundance with things. They are things, and things only create a temporary euphoria that passes with time and space. Only the eternal values within the heart have the power to last, when all hope of being rich and famous is extinguished by the advances of age, disintegration of health, and the realization of knowing you might have been chasing dreams that belonged to others and not your very own.
The only lasting values are those we discover within ourselves, because they are the values we are born with and that makes them a part of the DNA of the universe and beyond.

Spider's Thread: Trust
I got an interesting whisper this morning from Dinahh, my spiritual guide. I was emptying the dryer and folding clothes, when he spoke to me.
Dinahh: "Catherine, you know I always tell you what is true and important to share."
Me: "Hello, Dinahh. Yes. Do you have something you want me to write about?"
Dinahh: "Catherine, listen and hear and then share. A spider spins a delicate thread. It is weightless and extremely fragile. When it is joined with other threads in the spider's web, it will become strong. It can easily capture large and heavy insects and securely hold them.
It is the same with Trust between lovers. Like a spider thread, Trust, too, is weightless and ever so fragile. Catherine, close your eyes. Take one end of a strand of Trust and stick it on one lover. Now, stretch it gently between them. Attach the other end to the other lover. Trust will suspend, invisible, between them and join them in a bond forever together in love.
Me: "But Dinahh, what about others? Surely the thread can include children and family, can't it?"
Dinahh: "Like the spider's thread, this bond is also elastic. The spider joins each strand to others and designs a network of huge proportions. This web bends and stretches, and sways gently in the wind. This bond of trust between lovers will also become strong with time, but it will remain delicate and fragile. Much care must be taken so that Trust is not broken. And yes, Catherine, the thread of Trust will stretch to include family and children. I will go now."
