Spider's Thread: Trust
I got an interesting whisper this morning from Dinahh, my spiritual guide. I was emptying the dryer and folding clothes, when he spoke to me.
Dinahh: "Catherine, you know I always tell you what is true and important to share."
Me: "Hello, Dinahh. Yes. Do you have something you want me to write about?"
Dinahh: "Catherine, listen and hear and then share. A spider spins a delicate thread. It is weightless and extremely fragile. When it is joined with other threads in the spider's web, it will become strong. It can easily capture large and heavy insects and securely hold them.
It is the same with Trust between lovers. Like a spider thread, Trust, too, is weightless and ever so fragile. Catherine, close your eyes. Take one end of a strand of Trust and stick it on one lover. Now, stretch it gently between them. Attach the other end to the other lover. Trust will suspend, invisible, between them and join them in a bond forever together in love.
Me: "But Dinahh, what about others? Surely the thread can include children and family, can't it?"
Dinahh: "Like the spider's thread, this bond is also elastic. The spider joins each strand to others and designs a network of huge proportions. This web bends and stretches, and sways gently in the wind. This bond of trust between lovers will also become strong with time, but it will remain delicate and fragile. Much care must be taken so that Trust is not broken. And yes, Catherine, the thread of Trust will stretch to include family and children. I will go now."
