What you believe is not as important as what you know, and what you know is not as important as what you are. It is closer to the truth that you are what you know then you are what you believe. Knowing affects us much deeper then beliefs and lays a foundation for identity more real and lasting then beliefs
There are three levels to our experience of existence. One is the body, two is our thoughts and thinking and the third consists of our feelings and consciousness. We can see our bodies with our eyes, know our thoughts through our mind and feel our being as consciousness that we can become more deeply aware of. Body and mind can only be experienced as duality where the observer observes, but with feelings our awareness can blend with consciousness and a unity exists. We can feel the consciousness that we are apart of as the life that we are living in the now. This is the revelation of the eternal life that is spoken of in scriptures and the true meaning of know thyself as a conscious being.

Every event and circumstance in life fulfills the needs of the ego and the purpose of the universe. There always exists in each moment a plan and purpose which is executed by the ego, but designed by the universe. Awareness is the door that reveals the why and wherefore of all experiences. This duality allows for choices and consequences or rewards.

Once you are aware, you are your own teacher. You see all of life as assisting you in a journey towards self fulfillment. Prior to awakening you could not see this, but life was still your friend. As awareness develops you realize each experience of life is assisting you in unfolding your own unique expression of what is true for you. The truth allows freedom for self discovery that is unique to you alone. No singular truth exists except for the ultimate truth.
