It is our identity that matters, not our image. The mind takes a picture in consciousness of an idea, or image, and a person creates a forgery that has nothing to do with the reality of who they are. They hunger to accept themselves in clothes that fit just right, but never do.
Identity is an awareness of and in consciousness. It is pure being without the clutter of the mind and imagination. Nothing needs to be added to it, because it is fullness flowing within existence.
All realizations are within awareness and there is no separation within consciousness. We are always at the center of our awareness and it is this awareness that reveals our true identity in consciousness. It reveals what we appear to be in existence, as conscious knowing intelligence.
Spirituality for many is an idea, or an image, of something to embrace and aspire to become. Awareness embraces life, eternity, existence, death and the consciousness that we possess and are.
Awareness is the last stop on the journey home and the answer to the question, “Who Am I?”
