Relationships of all kinds are built on the foundation of
communication. Within the communication we must decide to establish the pillars
of trust, vulnerability and intimacy. Without them we cannot establish a loving
openness and a healing presence.
It is the failure to establish the three pillars that
prevents the rich exchange of authentic human interaction based in reality
between two people and not contaminated by the imagination or the unconscious.
We must choose to reveal ourselves to others or to wait for
the moment when it feels right. Not everyone will accept us, because the
thought of trusting, being vulnerable and intimate is frightening to them.
Choose wisely who you reveal yourself to and let them decide if they are ready
to join in.
