A vulnerable and unaware person will believe anything. Fear compels them to seek a solution to their pain. They will even surrender their freedom to avoid the fear and pain of vulnerability. They have not known or experienced awareness, so the mind seeks to pacify the ego by seeking or adopting a new identity built upon a belief or beliefs. These beliefs create a false identity in the mind, but it is usually enough to satisfy the pain and compensate for the insecurity of the ego.
They do not yet see or understand that at the end of pain a door exists where the mind ends and awareness opens. The separation of mind, ego and pain is the point at which enlightenment or awareness awakens. It is a burst or explosion within the consciousness that reveals a more spacious understanding of the nature of the individual and an opening of the conscious feeling nature.
