Who We Truly Are
You are a bundle of mysteries. Finding and conquering yourself is a lifetime task. There are unplumbed depths in you full of the rich ore of personal discovery. Explore yourself! There is power in you - the power to change yourself and to change the world; the power to create plans, projects, movements for the common good; the power to inspire and serve.
~Wilfred Peterson
Amazing, isn't it, hearing what we are capable of as human beings. Just so we don't forget, I believe we need to be reminded every so often. When we think of ourselves, most of us tend to think we're pretty ordinary individuals. We go about our days doing what's necessary -- raising families, working, running errands, being a taxi service for school and sports and, for the most part, by the end of the day we fall into bed exhausted by just "being".
Dinahh says, "You humans. You make yourselves too busy, so busy that you have no time to remember who you truly are. You are wasting this lifetime. You must make time for what is important. You must take the time to be in your nothingness and ... remember what you are a part of and capable of."
It's true, what Dinahh said. We do need to make time in our busy lives to stop and just "be" in the silence, in our own nothingness, even for a few minutes. For some, it's easiest at night while they're lying in bed, in the quiet place just before drifting off to sleep. For others, it's setting aside an hour during the day for meditation. Where or when isn't important -- what is important is finding our center by taking off all of our various human "hats" of the day.
All we have to do is reclaim ourselves as the spiritual beings we are, capable of great things, magical things, miraculous things! We are all a part of something huge and vast and beautiful -- the universe -- and any time we want to, we can feel its river of energy flowing through us, allowing our minds and our hearts to expand! This is already ours. As Dinahh would say, "What's so wrong with feeling right?"
When we reconnect with our hearts and open them fully to the love we WERE and ARE a part of, we can sense our uniqueness. We can sense how irreplaceable, unrepeatable and just how capable of great things we really are. We are gifted spiritual beings, each unique and precious, and as multi-faceted and rare as a diamond.
When we remember this, there in the silence of our nothingness, we can then see ourselves again as we truly are: spiritual beings joined in love with the universe, and everyone and everything in it, all on our human journey of discovery and awareness.
Namaste!
